So, it seems like I don’t need to leave my city anymore…if you are wondering what I am talking about..I am referring to Harlem! With so many cute lounges and restaurants blossoming left and right its making Harlem a hot commodity. One of those commodoties in which I just had the pleasure of discovering is Chocolat Lounge and no, I am not talking about my skin…just kidding.
This lounge was around for a while, apparently under different names, but after an innovative redesign they had to change the name to none other than Chocolat. This lounge is truly a diamond in the rough with black art gracing the brown velvet walls, candle-lit interior pieces and blue plush sitting cushions. The lounge also has room for those of you that like to party and the music selection is defitnetly off the hook.
In additon to delectable decor this lounge offers special house drinks including the Chocolate Passion, Candy Cane, the Chocolate Kiss, and please BELIEVE ME these drinks are just as good as they sound. It’s like Hershey Park in a cocktail glass… I absolutely love it!
Now you are going to need food to soak up those tasty drinks if you want to remember the night and Chocolat does not disappoint in this area either. The lounge menu includes a wide selection of Creole crab cakes, Cajun catfish, jerk chicken, Mardi Gras salad, and a variety of other things.
Whether its for a happy hour drink, literary series – yes they have these types of events, or a night on the town with your girls or your boys, Chocolat is the place to be. Stay your ass in Harlem and stop going downtown all the time and experience sexiness, chic ambience, and classiness all in one setting. Experience Chocolat…
